Jet2holidays has just promoted Business Development Manager Kat Davies to the newly created position of National Sales Manager – Non-Retail.
In her new role, Kat will work exclusively with Jet2holidays’ homeworking and call-centre agent partners.

I never travel without… for holidays, some Lancaster Golden Tan Maximiser, as it helps to keep that nice golden glow for ages. For work trips, Liquid IV sachets are a must to keep me hydrated and energised.
The famous person (dead or alive) I’d most like to sit next to on a plane is… Jess Glynne, right? Only joking! It would need to be someone who can keep up with all my chatting like [radio DJ] Jordan North. Just think about how brilliant the banter would be!
My weakness is… sales. I’m that person that buys something because it’s been discounted.
The next place I’ll visit is… I have a few trips planned for the rest of the year including Greece, Majorca and Copenhagen.
Born and brought up in… born in Wrexham and lived in North Wales all my life. Albeit we are very close to the border, I’m most definitely Welsh!
Live in… Wrexham! Before you ask, I haven’t met Ryan Reynolds or Rob Mac, but I’ve been in their vicinity, along with their celeb friends including Billie Joe Armstrong, David Beckham and Channing Tatum to name a few.
The restaurant I’d choose for a perfect date is… Upstairs at the Grill in Chester. The food and atmosphere are unreal.
The thing I miss most while travelling is… my daughter and a good cup of tea.
I didn’t know what I wanted to do when I left school… however I was inspired by a travel agent who my family used to book our holidays with, and there began my career in travel.
The thing I’m most proud of is… aside from my daughter, how far I’ve come in my career. Turning 30 this year has made me reflect on my career to date, and I’m proud to have grown from being a trainee travel consultant in a retail shop at 18 to where I am today.
In my new role, I’ll be… ensuring non-retail agency partners receive even more focused support to grow their Jet2holidays business with confidence. To achieve this, I’ll be working closely with partners to develop and deliver a strategy tailored specifically to them. By deepening my understanding of their businesses, I will develop our partnerships even further, strengthen collaboration and drive mutual business growth.
What attracted me to the job was… starting a new challenge in my career. I’ve been with Jet2holidays for more than seven years, and during that time, I’ve enjoyed seeing growth across my accounts and seeing the positive impact that Jet2holidays’ Partners2Success approach has had on helping independent travel agent partners to grow their businesses. Over the past year, I’ve developed a strong interest in working with non-retail partners, and my new dedicated role with allow me to make an even bigger impact going forward. Our recent non-retail travel agent summit showed just how much appetite there is to build fantastic partnerships, so I am very excited about getting stuck into the role.
