I never travel without… my phone, a backup battery, straighteners, a hot brush, and a bottle of conditioner. Most hotel bathrooms seem to stop at shower gel and shampoo, and my hair deserves better than that!
The famous person (dead or alive) I’d most like to sit next to on a plane is… Michelle Obama because she is such a fascinating person, and I am sure she’d have some incredible stories to tell, I’d happily spend the flight picking her brain – and after a couple of glasses of wine, who knows, she might even let a few secrets slip.
The last place I visited was… My husband David and I went on a city break to Prague. We fell in love with its beautiful old-world charm, stunning buildings, cobbled streets and so much history Food and beer are also super cheap.
My bucket-list destination is… Canada. Vancouver, The Rocky Mountaineer, and an Alaska cruise. Stunning mountains, glaciers, wildlife, and scenery you could never get bored of.
Born and brought up in… I have lived all my life in the east end of Glasgow.
The first thing I notice about a person when I meet them is… their smile. There is nothing better than seeing someone smile, especially when meeting them for the first time. A smile instantly puts me at ease and makes a person seem more approachable and welcoming.
If I could eat one thing for the rest of my life it would be… chicken. You can never get bored of it. From crispy chicken and wings to stir-fries and curries, there are so many different flavours and styles to enjoy.
The emoji I use most often is… laughing emoji 😂. It reflects my personality. I enjoy making people laugh and finding humour in everyday situations, so it’s the emoji I use most to spread a little positivity and keep conversations upbeat.
The best piece of advice I’ve been given is… live life to the fullest. We are only here for a visit, so make every day count.
The thing I miss most while travelling is… my own bed.
I’m most proud of is… my children Rhiannon (25) and Cameron (16). They continue to inspire me with their strength and resilience and the wonderful people they are becoming. As a parent there is no greater joy than watching your children grow and find their own path in life. They love travelling just as much as I do.
If I won the Lottery tomorrow… you’d find me onboard a cruise ship sailing around the world. I’d have the best suite, a cocktail in hand, absolutely no idea what day it is, and not a single intention of coming home.
