Meet the… Attraction World Partnership Success Manager Janna Thomson

Janna Thomson joined Attraction World as Partnership Success Manager earlier this month. She previously worked for Celebrity Cruises, where she was a Business Development Manager for the past 10 years. Travel Gossip asked Janna to tell us a bit about herself…

I never travel without… a fully-charged phone, a battery charger and at least one Disney and Universal countdown playlist on my Apple Music account.

The famous person (dead or alive) I’d most like to sit next to on a plane is… the main man himself, Mr Walt Disney.

My weakness is… theme park merchandise, especially Loungefly bags or anything with a Hogwarts crest.

The next place I’ll visit is… Rhodes in June to see my partner’s daughter, Katrina, get married. I like to call her my ‘bonus daughter’.

The worst thing I ate or drank abroad was… fried crickets in Thailand. It was like a bush tucker trial!

My bucket-list destination is… Japan for the culture and to visit Tokyo Disney Resort.

Born and brought up in… right under the fight path in Staines, Surrey.

Live in… Ashford, Surrey, not to be confused with Ashford, Kent.

The best piece of advice I’ve been given is… do what you love, it will take you places that you could never have imagined.

If I could eat one thing/meal for the rest of my life it would be… 100% a ribeye steak.

The emoji I use most often is… 😂

The thing I miss most while travelling is… if I am traveling with work, then it’s my two girls, Maddison and Jorja. If it’s travelling on holiday, then my own bed.

When I left school, I wanted to be… an overseas holiday rep. This dream came true when I worked for Airtours in Mallorca in 2003. It nearly killed my liver, but I had the best tan ever.

The thing I’m most proud of is… my kids.

In my new role, I’ll be… helping agents unlock and package unforgettable trips to the world’s most iconic attractions, with a focus on delivering expert advice and exceptional service at Attraction World.

What attracted me to the job was… Attraction World’s reputation, its strong industry relationships, and the chance to work with products I genuinely love and believe in.

The first thing I notice about a person when I meet them is… their energy. You can usually tell straight away if someone loves what they do.

If I won the Lottery tomorrow, I would… charter a 777 plane and take all of my friends and family on holiday. No guessing as to where!
