Major Travel has moved its Cape Town calls centre into new, larger premises with the aim of growing the team to 50.

Prior to the move into larger premises, Major’s Cape Town calls centre, which it opened three years ago, had space for just 20 desks.

The new office, in the heart of Cape Town’s Century City, has room for 50, in addition to three meeting rooms and a reception area, but Major said it expects to top 100 staff ‘in the coming years’.

After settling into its new home, it is inviting UK agents visiting South Africa to see it’s new office. “We would love to host our travel agents for lunch,” said Head of Reservations Zelma Almano.

“We have some best gastronomy in the world around us and we can showcase our new space, as well as introduce the agent to the dedicated professionals they work with every day.”
