Oceania Cruises is no longer accepting new bookings for passengers under the age of 18.
In future, the luxury cruise line will only accept new reservations for guests aged 18 and over.
However, all existing reservations made before 7 January that include children will be honoured.
The cruise line said the policy shift ‘reflects Oceania Cruises’ dedication to providing a relaxed atmosphere of genuine hospitality and meaningful connection’.
“Our guests have consistently shared that the tranquil environment aboard our ships is one of the primary reasons they return time and time again,” said Chief Luxury Officer Jason Montague.
“By transitioning to an adults-only experience, we are enhancing the very essence of the Oceania Cruises journey – one defined by sophistication, serenity and discovery.”
The cruise line said it had conducted ‘extensive research’ among repeat guests, experienced travel partners and new-to-brand customers before deciding to transition to adult-only cruises.
