Sunlounger Travel Group has launched a dedicated homeworking division called Personal Travel Experts, and appointed Louise Rothwell as Head of Business.
The new division has been created to support the group’s expanding network of self-employed homeworkers, who have operated under the Sunlounger Travel brand for several years.
Louise joins from Personal Travel Consultants and Blue Bay Travel, where she was Business Development Executive.
She said: “I’m absolutely delighted to be joining Sunlounger Travel Group to lead the Personal Travel Experts division.
“What really stood out to me was that Personal Travel Experts has been built from real experience. This isn’t a concept that’s been created overnight – it’s the next stage in the evolution of a successful homeworking business that’s already been supporting agents for several years.”
Sunlounger Travel Group Director Sally Kirkbright said the launch was a ‘natural next step’ for the business.
“We’ve spent the last few years carefully building our homeworking proposition, learning from both our own experience and the feedback of the advisors who have been part of our journey,” Sally said.
“Louise was the standout person to lead this division. Her experience, reputation and genuine passion for helping travel professionals succeed made her the perfect fit.”
Personal Travel Experts offers members access to more than 300 supplier partners, commercial agreements, technology and dedicated business support while allowing them to run their own independent travel businesses.
Managing Director Iain Kirkbright said the agency currently has a small team of homeworkers.
“We’re not setting a target or time scale on numbers [for Personal Travel Experts], we’d rather have a smaller team and higher quality,” he said.
