The number of new job opportunities in the travel industry has risen to its highest point in a year, according to the latest figures from C&M Travel Recruitment.
Last month’s total was up by 22% from January to reach a level not seen since February 2025.
However, there was a small fall in the number of new candidates searching for travel jobs last month, with February’s total dipping by 11% from January. The figure was also down by 9% from February 2025.
It was also a quieter month for placements, with the total easing by 14% from January 2026 and by 47% from February 2025.
C&M co-owner and Managing Director Barbara Kolosinska said: “For the market to be buoyant, we need healthy numbers of new and exciting roles each month. So, it’s great to see that more travel jobs were made available in February than at any point in the last year.
“Of course, we now need this to filter through into more placements being made in the next few months, but this is a very positive sign. Less welcome was the small dip in new candidates, which will mean that clients have a smaller talent pool to choose from. But hopefully the big increase in roles – with many offering fantastic salaries too – will encourage more jobseekers to explore the opportunities that are currently out there.”
