Jet2CityBreaks is including rental cars with packages to Iceland so customers can explore on their own.
A spokesperson for the operator confirmed it is the first time it has included cars as part of a Jet2CityBreaks package.
It has also added more hotels in the south and west of Iceland for what it is describing as ‘fly drive’ packages.
Customers will stay in one hotel and use it as a base to drive around the area, with a rental vehicle included in the cost.
Departures are available for winter 24/25 and winter 25/26, with flights from Belfast, Bournemouth, Bristol, Birmingham, East Midlands, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Leeds Bradford, Liverpool, London Stansted, Manchester and Newcastle.
Sample packages for the Iceland ‘fly-drives’ include a three-night break staying in four-star bed and breakfast accommodation, with flights and car hire, from £489 per person, departing on 30 March 2025.
