Jet2 says bookings have soared since the Government announced an easing of testing for international travel yesterday.
The operator and airline says bookings are up 150% on the previous day.
From Friday, people returning from trips abroad will no longer have to take a pre-departure test.
And from Sunday, they can take a lateral flow Day 2 test instead of a more expensive PCR and they’ll no longer have to self-isolate, if fully vaccinated.
Jet2holidays launched a flash sale following the announcement of the new rules for this winter, summer 2022, winter22/23 and summer 23.
CEO Steve Heapy said: “We have seen an immediate and dramatic spike in bookings, with volumes since the Government announcement heading towards pre-pandemic levels.”
