Jet2 has responded to news that easyJet is pulling out of Leeds Bradford by launching discount codes for flight and holidays from the airport.
The operator is shaving £100 off holiday bookings for customers using the code YORKSHIRE100, while flight-only customers can get 10% off through the code YORKSHIRE10.
Single-parent families can get £100 off with the code YORKSHIRE100SPF and solo travellers can save £50 per booking with the code YORKSHIRE50SOLO.
The codes apply to all departures up to and including 31 March 2028, on bookings made by 31 August 2026. They can be used on bookings made with independent travel agents. To redeem the YORKSHIRE100 code, there must be a minimum of two adults on the booking.
Jet2 said it had ‘moved swiftly to respond to the demand for flights and holidays from Leeds Bradford Airport’, after easyJet said on Wednesday it will no longer fly from the airport after the beginning of next year.
EasyJet’s last flight from LBA will be on 4 January. The carrier said it was focusing on ‘maintaining and developing routes which prove most popular with customers’.
In contrast, Jet2 will operate its biggest programme to date from LBA next year, with 65 destinations on sale. They include new destinations Hurghada and Sharm el Sheikh, Tunisia, Preveza, Santorini and Tivat in Montenegro.
For summer 27 the company will operate 15 based aircraft at the airport.
Jet2 CEO Steve Heapy said: “We have been proudly operating from Leeds Bradford Airport since 2003, when we launched with just two aircraft, and since then we have grown to become Yorkshire’s leading airline and tour operator.
“Our longstanding commitment to the region has never been stronger and we want to say thank you to our loyal customers and independent travel agent partners by launching these brand-new offers today.
“Customers deserve the best experience and choice when it comes to their well-deserved holidays and that is what we look forward to continuing to provide from Leeds Bradford for many years to come.”
