Jet2 drops Christmas markets route from Bristol

Jet2 has dropped plans to fly from Bristol to Gdansk this winter following a review of its flying programme.

The Polish city was one of two new destinations from Bristol announced by Jet2 in March as part of an expansion of its Christmas markets programme.

However, the airline confirmed this week it had withdrawn the flights for winter 2025/26 following a review of its flying programme.

In a statement issued to Travel Gossip after the news was flagged on X by aviation analyst Sean Moulton, Jet2 said: “As a successful business, we are continually reviewing our flying programme and will adjust where required. This gives us the ability to add flights and holidays in response to demand, and very occasionally we may withdraw flights too.

“Following this latest review, we have taken the decision to withdraw services to Gdansk from Bristol Airport for Winter 25/26 and are contacting independent travel agent partners who have made bookings to this destination to let them know.

“With a fantastic programme of services on sale from Bristol Airport, customers still have superb choice when it comes to enjoying a holiday this winter.”
