InteleTravel hit £2 million of sales in one day in the UK last week, for the first time ever.
It reported bookings for the whole of January were up 44% and revenues up 35% year-on-year.
The homeworking agency said it hit the £2m mark on Thursday, 29 January.
Throughout last month cruise sales were ‘particularly strong’, with revenues up 67%, it said.
The increase in bookings came off the back of a two-month sales drive, which included a customer magazine and three weekly webinars and full-day live and virtual events for agents.
UK and Ireland Managing Director Tricia Handley-Hughes said: “Our performance supports the statistics we are seeing that holidays remain a top priority, with customers taking full advantage of competitive pricing during the campaign. Long-haul destinations in the Middle East, Indian Ocean, Asia and Africa are selling strongly.”
