InteleTravel creates new role to oversee quality standards

InteleTravel has appointed a Quality Standards Manager for the UK and Ireland.

The post has been taken up by Rebecca White, who joins from the Civil Aviation Authority, where she spent 17 years in the ATOL Crisis Management Department.

In her new role she will ensure InteleTravel agents are up to date with the latest regulatory standards such as the ABTA Code of Conduct, ATOL in the UK, and the Total Payment Protection (TOPP) in Ireland.

She will oversee mandatory training and the delivery of accurate and updated compliance training materials for the InteleTravel website.

She said: “I am absolutely delighted to be joining the team at InteleTravel in the role of Quality Standards Manager.

“Having spent almost three decades in the travel industry, I have been fortunate to experience the sector from almost every perspective, from my early career as an overseas representative in the days before mobile phones, through to operational management roles within tour operating, and most recently through my years with the Civil Aviation Authority.

“That breadth of experience has given me a deep understanding of both the commercial realities of travel and the critical importance of strong consumer protection and regulatory compliance. I am immensely proud to take on this new role with a dynamic and industry leading organisation and can’t wait to support InteleTravel’s continued growth.”

InteleTravel UK & Ireland Managing Director Tricia Handley-Hughes said: “Rebecca joins InteleTravel with an impressive travel industry career to date, and her expertise in educating and empowering our advisors across the UK and Ireland is synonymous with our commitment to providing them with the tools and environment to perform to the highest possible standards.”
