Inspire Group has announced the appointment of Chris Borland as Business Development Manager and the promotion of Stacey Wilson to Head of Homeworking and Recruitment.
Chris is replacing Alice Victoria Whalley, who moves into a product manager role at the Cheshire-based agency and operator.
He joins from Stuba, one of Inspire’s supplier partners, and brings experience across cruise, call centres, tour leading, account management and homeworking agencies.
Starting at the end of November, Chris will work directly with Inspire’s homeworking team, Independent Travel Associates (ITA), to help them develop and grow their businesses.
Inspire Group CEO Lisa Henning said: “We met many candidates with fantastic experience and impressive CVs, but what mattered most to us was finding someone who would genuinely care about our team.
“We wanted someone who wouldn’t see them as just an account to manage or a sales target to hit, but who would understand their businesses, celebrate their wins and truly want them to succeed. We believe we’ve found that person in Chris.”
Chris added: “I’m totally thrilled to be joining Inspire. Having worked alongside many of Inspire’s Independent Travel Associates already, I’ve seen first-hand how passionate and hardworking they are, and I’m really looking forward to supporting the growth of their businesses even further.”
Stacey, who is promoted with immediate effect, will continue to develop Inspire’s Pathway to Success programme, while leading recruitment of new homeworkers into the ITA network.
Lisa said: “Our team of homeworkers is the heart of everything we do at Inspire. While we’re keen to grow the network, looking after our existing members will always be our number one priority. With Chris joining, Alice moving into a focused product role and Stacey’s promotion, we’re putting even stronger foundations in place for the future.”
