Inspire appoints first Touring & Adventure Ambassador

Inspire Group has named Henry Archer as its first Touring & Adventure Ambassador.

The Cheshire-based company said the appointment follows the success of its Cruise Ambassador programme, which has delivered a ‘strong uplift’ in cruise sales across its 100-strong network of Independent Travel Associates (ITAs), since launching earlier this year.

Henry will take on the role alongside his existing position as Product & Marketing Executive.

Under his expanded remit, he will run regular updates and training sessions focused on touring and adventure.

Henry will also support the ITAs, as well as Inspire’s direct and Travelcard sales channels.

If the programme proves as successful as its cruise counterpart, Inspire plans to appoint further Touring & Adventure Ambassadors.

CEO Lisa Henning said: “Touring and Adventure is a growing market across all age groups and demographics, and we are seeing a rise in interest and enquiries, both for standalone tours and for tours added to bigger trips, such as land tours before or after cruises.”

Henry added: “I’m really excited to be taking on this additional role and am determined to make it a success. In good time for peaks, we will also be offering dedicated marketing opportunities for our touring and adventure suppliers.”

To mark the launch, Inspire ran a social media competition for its ITAs, challenging them to create an inspiring customer engagement post that showcased the variety of touring and adventure holidays available to book.

The top prize went to Basingstoke-based ITA Josh Bristow.

Henry said: “It was tough to choose just one entry, as all the entries were excellent. But Josh’s post was truly immersive and really captured the vibe and feeling of a tour with Contiki. The caption was really in depth, and it did a great job of selling the tour it was advertising to me.”
