Industry pals raise £3k for ABTA LifeLine and Reuben’s Retreat

Travel 10k group

A group of travel colleagues completed 10k runs across the country this weekend, raising more than £3,000 for ABTA LifeLine and Reuben’s Retreat.

‘The Travel 10k’ organised events were spearheaded by Iberostar Business Development Director Aishling McLoughlin and easyJet holidays Head of Distribution Natasha Marson. Some of the group took part in the Saucony London 10k and the Blackpool Music Run, while others completed their own 10k runs in the Lake District, Peterborough, and Glossop.

Aishling told Travel Gossip: “It was great fun and even in the heat I beat my 10k time from my first 10k last year, so I was buzzing.

“We all had such a good day, running around the country for such worthy charities. The guys from Reuben’s Retreat and Trudie Clements at ABTA LifeLine have also been so supportive.

“We are definitely planning to keep ‘The Travel 10k’ going. It’s grown into something so positive, not only for the charities, but for us and our wellbeing.  We are already talking about what we will do next.”

The group who took part were Aishling, Natasha, Iberostar Business Development Manager Eilidh Marshall, easyJet holidays Trade Distribution Manager Gemma Hussey, easyJet holidays Senior Partnership Manager Vicky Duncan, Palladium Hotel Group Senior Business Development Manager Joanne Peters, Jet2.com and Jet2holidays Business Development Manager Helen Millward, Sani/Ikos Group Sales Manager (Tour Operators) Tasha Mano, Hays Travel Personal Travel Consultant Samantha Little, Best Destinations Owner Jon Haworth, Admiral Travel Director Craig Weatherill, Travel Circle Agency Manager David Cookson and Aishling’s friends, Katrina Cox and Louise Tainsh.
