Indian low-cost airline IndiGo has confirmed it will launch daily flights to London Heathrow on 26 October 2025.
The flights are expected to be from Delhi, although the route has yet to be announced. They will be operated by Boeing 787 Dreamliners, leased from Norse Atlantic.
IndiGo, which is India’s fastest-growing airline, launched its first European flights – between Mumbai and Manchester – in July.
In a statement, CEO Pieter Elbers said: “As we celebrate IndiGo’s 19th anniversary, we are immensely proud of the journey we have had so far and equally excited about the way ahead.
“The love and support of millions of our customers, coupled with the shared passion and drive of more than 66,000 IndiGo employees, has fueled our flight towards new heights and across new frontiers.
“Today, we are delighted to announce our next strides in international markets, especially our daily, direct flights to London Heathrow.”
Private Nigerian airline, Air Peace, is also planning to launch flights to Heathrow, from Abuja, in October, according to a post on X from aviation analyst ‘Sean M’.
