Hoseasons records busiest Easter in 80 years as clients switch Lanzarote for Looe

Hoseasons has reported the busiest Easter in its 80-year history, with on-park arrivals up 8% on last year and bookings through the trade up 18%.

More guests went away over the two-week school holiday period than ever before, including the previous record year in 2022.

Cornwall was the most popular destination, where Hoseasons has several holiday parks and other accommodation options, including Trelawne Manor in Looe. Devon, Yorkshire and Norfolk were also popular choices.

The brand saw 16% growth in three-night breaks compared to Easter 2022 and 12% growth compared to the same period last year, with two thirds of all Easter holidays sold classed as short breaks of four nights or less.

General Manager Gemma Brown said the increase in bookings was largely down to the hard work of travel agents offering Hoseasons breaks to those no longer able to holiday in Lanzarote as planned after the Spanish island was hit by floods.

She added: “Our trade partners’ knowledge of our product and solutions-focused approach means they’re perfectly placed to offer our holidays as a last-minute alternative when things go wrong – something which, on this occasion, has contributed to be a record-breaking Easter performance.”
