A travel agent has come full circle to manage Hays Travel’s new Burnley branch, returning to the town where she started her career 27 years ago.
The store, which is located at the Charter Walk Shopping Centre, was officially opened last Friday (19 September).
Branch manager Natalie Lowcock, who has been with Hays Travel for three years as Manager of the Colne shop, is now returning to the Lancashire town where she started her first job with Going Places.
The store has a total of eight staff members.
The opening was attended by the Mayor of Burnley, Councillor Paul Reynolds and suppliers including P&O Cruises, Ocean Florida, and Flexible Autos.
Natalie said: “We enjoyed a very successful opening weekend. There have been a lot of visitors so far and there has been a fantastic atmosphere over the last few days.
“We were delighted to welcome some of our suppliers on Friday, and Barbie also made an appearance on Saturday to help promote our £500 giveaway competition!”
Hays Travel Retail Director Jane Schumm added: “We are delighted to open a new branch in Burnley.
“The town has been on our radar for a long time and our colleagues had a brilliant weekend meeting the community who have been very welcoming.
