Hays will open a new branch of Miles Morgan Travel in Trowbridge in Wiltshire early next year.
Just days after telling Travel Gossip that it planned to open a new shop in January 2025, Hays confirmed it will be the 20th branch of southwest-based Miles Morgan, a brand it acquired in May this year.
It said the ‘sizeable’ new shop will open ‘early in 2025’ with ‘at least’ five new members of staff.
Miles Morgan Managing Director Mandy Shillito said: “This announcement comes at the perfect time and demonstrates Hays Travel’s commitment to the Miles Morgan Travel brand. We only just returned from our first Hays Travel Overseas Conference – where we were made to feel very welcome – so this news comes at an exciting time as we reflect on what we learned and the strength of our partnership with the Hays team.”
Hays Chief Operating Officer Jonathon Woodall-Johnston added: “We are very excited about this new Trowbridge branch, which will really strengthen Miles Morgan Travel’s profile in that area and attract new customers to book their holiday with them.
“Working with Mandy and her team, we identified the opportunity in Wiltshire some months back and have been waiting for the right location to come up. We are delighted to have found the ideal premises in the right place and look forward to it opening in early 2025.”
Mandy is looking to recruit a Branch Manager, three full-time equivalent travel consultants and a Foreign Exchange expert. She added: “The work begins now to recruit the right team. As well as experienced travel agents, we also welcome people new to the sector, who love to travel and are committed to caring for our customers.”
