Hays Travel will launch a online booking function for its Personal Travel Consultants (PTC) later this month.
Its 700 PTC members will be able to add the booking link to their own webpages, searchable via the Hays Travel website and app. Members who have already signed up receive a free three-month trial, after which they’ll be charged £30 a month.
The functionality, developed by Holiday Webtech, will be ‘revolutionary’ for PTCs, said Hays.
“Launching in November, the new system offers customers convenient access to holiday details, and PTCs access to search data and analytics for follow-ups,” it added. “Customers booking with their chosen PTC via the Hays Travel app can keep and view their travel documents in one place, settle balances with fast and secure payments, add holiday extras such as airport parking and car rental, as well as view a countdown to travel.”
Amy Holland, Head of PTC and PTC Lead Supported said: “Our agents involved with the trial are delighted with the results. Everything is fully integrated after booking – even our affordable Direct Debit can be automatically set up for the customer, without any manual intervention from the agent.
“We want our PTCs to unlock any untapped potential to grow their business, attract and care for their customers and manage their time.”
Michelle Rodde, a Hays Travel PTC for the past nine years said: “We have a high demand for our amazingly low-priced deals, and they sell out super-fast. Having a bookable website will ensure that our customers secure the deal at their own convenience if they are unable to reach us by telephone.”
Matthew Stevens, who joined in 2020, said: “When on holiday or taking a day off, we can still get bookings and give our customers a platform to look at.”
Natalie Taylor, who joined in 2015, added that the online booking function will help agents see what customers are searching for, when they are looking, and what’s popular.
