Crete and Rhodes are the latest Greek islands to be hit by heavy rain, flash floods and gale-force winds.
Crete bore the brunt of the rainfall. Both rockslides and road closures were reported on the island, while rescue crews helped free seven people trapped in vehicles by floodwater.
The highest rainfall was recorded near Chania in the 24-hour period leading up to Tuesday afternoon, said the National Observatory of Athens.
Meanwhile, gale-force winds topped trees and damaged vehicles in Rhodes.
Heavy rain caused flash flooding on Mykonos and Paros earlier this week. Schools were forced to close on several Greek islands on Tuesday, including Paros, Syros, Symi, Kalymnos and Kos.
