More operators are resuming tours to Jordan, after the UK Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO) removed the destination from its ‘no travel’ list.
In an update on 3 June, the FCDO confirmed it no longer advises against all but essential travel to Jordan, although it continues to advise against all travel within three kilometres of the Syrian border.
G Adventures said it will resume Jordan departures visiting Petra, Wadi Rum, the Dead Sea and Jerash from 1 August, following a three-month pause due to conflict in the Middle East.
Chief Operating Officer Michelle Hudema said the operator was quick to return to Jordan as tourism plays a ‘vital role in supporting local communities and livelihoods’.
She added: ”Late summer and autumn are fantastic seasons to visit, whether you’re looking to hike sections of the ancient Jordan Trail or join one of our adventures designed exclusively for solo travellers. By choosing to travel to Jordan, our travellers can enjoy an unforgettable experience while helping ensure tourism continues to deliver meaningful benefits to the people and communities who depend on it.”
Earlier this month, Explore Worldwide and Intrepid confirmed they were reinstating tours to Jordan, with Explore offering 15% or more off all 2026 departures, saving up to £260 per person.
Jordan was one of Explore’s best-selling destinations in 2025, with bookings up 80% on 2024 before restrictions were introduced in March this year.
The operator offers six Jordan itineraries, including classic, upgraded and activity-focused options such as walking and cycling tours, a family itinerary, and a combined Jordan and Egypt trip.

Intrepid will have five Jordan trips departing in June and July.
