French cruise line CFC Croisières takes Ambassador name

CFC Croisières has rebranded as Ambassador Croisières as it continues its integration with Ambassador Cruise Line.

The cruise line said the move marks a ‘natural evolution’ of the business, following a merger between the two companies in January 2025, to form the Ambassador Group.

CFC offers no-fly cruises in the French market on its 1,200-passenger ship, Renaissance and winter Caribbean cruises for the UK, French and Dutch markets. Ambassador operates no-fly cruises from the UK on its two ships, Ambition and Ambience.

President Maëlysse Pierrot-Guibourt said: “The change of name to Ambassador Croisières does not alter our commitment to France. Our French office remains at the heart of our development and our teams will continue to support our guests, partners and travel agents every day.”

She added that the company would retain ‘everything that makes our identity and offering distinctive’ while benefiting from Ambassador’s scale and investment.

Ambassador Cruise Line Chief Executive Christian Verhounig said bringing the businesses together under one brand would provide ‘stronger foundations’ for future growth.

“This is not about changing what makes the French operation special,” he said.

“The experience, expertise and distinctly French identity established by CFC will remain at the heart of our offering, supported by the greater scale, investment and opportunities that come from being part of Ambassador.”
