Foreign Office warns of possible travel disruption to UAE

The UK Foreign Office (FCDO) has issued an update for six countries, warning of possible travel disruption across the Middle East because of the conflict between Israel and Iran.

The alert, issued to the UAE, Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar and Saudi Arabia, says: “Ongoing hostilities in the region and between Israel and Iran could escalate quickly and pose security risks for the wider region.

“There is a possibility of travel disruption, including short-notice airspace closures, delayed and cancelled flights, and other unanticipated travel impacts.”

The FCDO said travellers should monitor local and international media, follow instructions of local authorities and check with relevant airlines for the latest updates before travelling.
