The Foreign Office (FCDO) has lifted its advice against all but essential travel to Aqaba International Airport and seaport.
The FCDO has been warning against non-essential travel to the airport since late July following attacks in the region of the Red Sea port city.
Israeli and Jordanian forces reportedly intercepted an Iranian missile aimed at Aqaba, and there were reports of additional missiles being shot down by Jordan’s military after a US warning the port could be targeted.
However, the FCDO said it had removed its warning about travel to Aqaba airport and seaport following a review of the security situation.
It continues to warn of the possibility of more attacks in the Middle East region.
