Flights at Brussels’ two airports have been cancelled today due to a national strike.
Departing flights from Brussels Airport have been grounded, and many arriving flights have also been cancelled.
Amongst those cancelled are several Brussels Airlines flights to/from London Heathrow, Manchester and Edinburgh and British Airways flights to and from Heathrow.
Charleroi Airport has also grounded all of today’s flights.
The walkout includes ground crew, security personnel, and other airport staff.
On its website, Brussels Airport warned: “To ensure the safety of passengers and staff, we have decided, in consultation with the airlines, not to operate any departing passenger flight on 31 March. The airlines will contact passengers whose flight has been impacted.”
