Etihad Holidays parent launches new tour brand for UK market

New tour operator Capital Holidays has launched in the UK, with packages available to book on the Etihad Holidays’ agent portal.

Capital Holidays is a subsidiary of Tourism365, the tourism entity of the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Company (ADNEC) Group, which also owns Etihad Holidays. Etihad Holidays has been operated by Capital Holidays in the UK since it launched in 2023.

Capital Holidays already operates in the high value DACH [Germany, Austria and Switzerland] market. Its portfolio covers destinations not on the Etihad Airways’ network, including Greece, Turkey (pictured), Malta and the Canary Islands. Packages to the Caribbean and the US – including New York, Las Vegas and Florida – will go live shortly.

Capital Holidays works with a range of airline partners, including Virgin Atlantic, United Airlines, easyJet, SunExpress and Corendon Airlines.

The programme has been integrated into the existing Etihad Holidays agent booking portal, with no additional logins required. It operates under the same ABTA and ATOL licences.

Agents will be able to see Capital Holidays destinations displayed within search results and will be able to book. Holidays can be secured with low deposits starting from £20.

Tourism365 announced plans to launch Capital Holidays in the UK in 2023. Etihad Holidays Head of Commercial – B2B Gemma Lazenby said: “When we launched Etihad Holidays, we were always clear that this was just the first phase of a much bigger plan. Capital Holidays has been proudly operating Etihad Holidays since 2023, and we are now moving into the planned evolution by launching the Capital Holidays brand in the UK.

“Following our successful launch in Germany, where the brand has already performed extremely well, this expansion allows us to significantly broaden our offering beyond destinations served by the airline, giving UK customers access to a much wider choice of holidays.

“We’re starting with European beach destinations, with the US, Caribbean and Mexico to follow shortly, alongside a far broader range of airline partners. It’s a major milestone for the business and an exciting expansion for the UK market.”

To mark the launch, Etihad Holidays’ incentive of £20 for each booking has been extended to Capital Holidays bookings during April.
