Nominations have opened for The Travel Agent Awards at the Geordie Ball, recognising excellence among agents in the North East, in the first regional awards organised by Travel Gossip.
Travel Gossip announced in June it had acquired the legendary Geordie Ball and sister event the South West & Wales Ball and is incorporating agent awards at a regional level at both events.
The Geordie Ball will take place on Thursday 5 March 2026 at Gosforth Park, Newcastle. It will be a black-tie gala event bringing together 250 guests, including 200 of the region’s top-performing travel agents.
There are 16 awards, including Cruise Agent of the Year, Team Leader of the Year, New Agent of the Year and Shop Window Display of the Year. Entries are now open and agents have until 10 October 2025 to get their entries in.
Newmarket Holidays has signed up as the Geordie Ball’s headline sponsor for 2026.
