Dublin Airport appears to be operating normally but with minor delays this morning after being forced to close one of its two runways due to an emergency landing.
The north runway was closed yesterday evening when a United Parcel Service flight from Louisville performed ‘an emergency arrival’ due to a landing gear issue.
The runway was taken out of service while the UPS aircraft was towed from the flight path.
Dublin Airport said in a post on X last night that all flights continued to take off and land as normal, using the south runway only. It advised passengers to make their way to the airport as normal.
In an update issued this morning, it said: “Following a full sweep of the runway and an inspection by our Fire Services team, the North Runway was back open and available for the first wave of flights this morning.”
