Some flights have resumed at Dubai’s international airport, which was forced to temporarily suspend services earlier today following a drone attack.
No injuries were reported in the attack, which caused a fire close to the grounds of the airport.
In a notice on its website posted earlier today, the airport said flights were gradually resuming to ‘selected’ destinations, but passengers are advised to check with their airline before travelling.
British Airways had already halted flights between London Heathrow and Dubai until the end of March due to the ongoing conflict in the Middle East.
The airline has also cancelled flights between Heathrow and Amman in Jordan, Bahrain, Doha in Qatar and Tel Aviv in Israel.
At the same time, it announced it will not resume services to Abu Dhabi until October.
Virgin Atlantic had also suspended its winter season to Dubai, which was due to end on 28 March, and paused flights to Riyadh in Saudi Arabia.
