Domes Resorts has confirmed it will open three hotels in Greece next summer under the Casa Collective brands, after buying a majority stake in the business earlier this year.
Two of the hotels will be in Halkidiki in northern Greece and one on the island of Santorini.
Details were unveiled in London last night by Domes Resorts Group Commercial Director Manos Vatzolas and Remo Masala, creator of the Casa Cook and Cook’s Club brands and a Casa Collective shareholder.
Casa Collective, whose brands began at Thomas Cook, is mainly a franchise operation for independent hoteliers. It has three brands: Casa Cook, Cook’s Club and XIA, a new family brand announced in April.
Casa Cook is a collection of luxury boutique hotels, while adult-only Cook’s Club properties are aimed at a livelier, younger crowd.
Currently, there are 10 hotels in the Collective.
In Halkidiki, Domes has taken a 30-year lease on the historic Xenia hotel in Ouranoupolis, which will reopen as Casa Cook Athos. Its first phase will have 60 rooms, two restaurants, private beach access, a gym and a spa, and will be open to guests aged 12 and over.
Adult-only Cook’s Club Kassandra, a seven-minute walk from the beach, will have 58 rooms and suites, one restaurant, two bars, a gym, a spa and a swimming pool.
Casa Cook Santorini, also adult-only, will have just six rooms, with ‘cave-style’ architecture and views of the caldera.
“It will be like having a private address in Santorini,” said Remo, who remains with the business as creative lead.
Manos added: “I don’t think we are going to stop there. We will grow the (Casa Collective) brand and we will take it to new places. This is a new era for Casa Cook, Cook’s Club and XIA.”
There are no hotels operating under the XIA brand yet, but Manos said he expects there to be several within two years.
“We are targeting large, family all-inclusive properties,” he added.
