Well-known Regional Sales Manager Diane Court is retiring after 50 years in the industry.
Diane, 70, has spent six decades in travel, starting out at Horizon Midlands in the 1970s, and is currently RSM for JTA and Belleair Holidays.
Although she is stepping away from day-to-day sales, Diane will still be out and about at industry events as she has agreed to stay on as an ambassador for JTA and Belleair.
Diane has worked in sales in several travel companies, including Regional Sales Manager for the Midlands at Thomson, after it took over Horizon Midlands.
She’s also worked at Gold Medal, initially as Sales Manager then Head of Sales; as Key Account Manager at Virgin Holidays; as Sales and Recruitment Manager at Freedom Travel Group and RSM at Qatar Airways.
Diane said: “I turned 70 in October and will be taking a long holiday early next year to spend at least six weeks in Australia with my husband and daughter. I will be very sad to leave JTA and Belleair Holidays and even sadder to leave the travel industry, which has been such an enjoyable and fun part of my life for so long.”
JTA Travel Group Business Development Director Dave Green said: “Di is a wonderful colleague and trusted friend and has not only proven herself as a valuable team player many times over in our wonderful industry but has been a true inspiration to many including myself. Her energy and enthusiasm today surpass countless others who might be at a point much earlier in their career.”
JTA CEO Wayne Darrock said: “Although retiring, Di will become an official Ambassador for our business and join us on events and activations throughout the coming months and hopefully years to come.
“She possesses a unique charm and her knowledge, ability to change with the times during the past 50 years has been remarkable.”
