Hays Travel Chair Dame Irene Hays met King Charles at an event to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the handback of Uluru-Kata Tjuta to its traditional owners.
The celebration was held at the Australian High Commission in London, where Dame Irene was a guest of Tourism Australia.
“It was an honour to attend this moving event as a guest of our Tourism Australia partners,” said Dame Irene.
“Being there to celebrate the return of the deeds to Uluṟu-Kata Tjuṯa by the Commonwealth of Australia was an important reminder of the need to respect distinct cultures and the strength to be gained through unity.”
