Cruise Lines International Association (CLIA) UK & Ireland has announced a number of river cruise-focused events, including a new River Cruise Day next month.
Taking place on 3 April, the dedicated River Cruise Day will feature a series of webinars with suppliers and a new online learning module.
River cruise operators are also being encouraged to provide tailored promotions and offers for agents for the day.
CLIA will be sharing more details on the day in the next few weeks.
CLIA UK & Ireland Managing Director Andy Harmer made the announcement during its annual river cruise conference, RiverView, which hosted almost 400 agents in Budapest over the weekend.
Andy said: “We’re now counting down to our first CLIA River Cruise Day, which will keep river front of mind for agents, and demonstrate the huge variety of cruising options and different lines available. Furthermore, our line-up of events and training across the year means we’re giving the trade even more of the tools and expertise they need to thrive.”
CLIA will also use the day to launch details for agents looking to join its next six-month River Cruise Champion Programme, which starts in November.
A previously announced River Cruise Forum is also being held on 23 October in Glasgow, with registration opening in the summer.
