Air Charter Scotland will launch its first scheduled flights in January, taking over Eastern Airways’ service from Aberdeen to Wick.
The Glasgow-based carrier has signed a contract with The Highland Council to begin the Public Service Obligation route from 12 January.
The route, deemed a ‘critical lifeline air service’, was suspended in October following the collapse of Eastern Airways.
Air Charter Scotland will initially lease a BAe Jetstream 32 from Netherlands carrier AIS Airlines, with crew, before adding its own aircraft in the next few months.
It will start taking bookings from 6 January, with one-way fares costing from £74.99.
Flights will operate six days a week, excluding Saturday.
