British Airways confirms axing of its Gatwick-JFK service

British Airways will scrap flights between London Gatwick and New York JFK this winter.

The summer-only service will cease on 25 October 2025, but the airline will operate an additional daily flight to JFK from London Heathrow next summer.

It currently operates eight flights a day between Heathrow and JFK, which will increase to nine in summer 2026.

BA yesterday announced it was expanding its schedule to other long-haul destinations, including Jamaica, Bangkok and Miami from both London Gatwick and Heathrow for summer 2026.
