Amadeus River Cruises will add a new ship to its fleet next year.
The 158-passenger Amadeus Mira will have 67 cabins with panoramic windows and 12 suites with balconies.
Joining the fleet in spring 2027, Amadeus Mira will operate itineraries on the Rhine and Danube, including tulip cruises from Amsterdam, sailings between Trier and Passau and a 15-day departure from Amsterdam to Budapest.
Prices for next year’s programme start at £1,420 for a five-day ‘Magic of Advent’ on the Rhine sailing, departing on 12 December 2027. All prices include return flights, overseas transfers, all meals, beer and wine with dinner, gratuities and up to €200 per person onboard credit.
The river cruise line says its newest ship will be sustainable with ‘cutting-edge environmental technologies’, including hybrid propulsion and a heat recovery system.
Other onboard features include an outdoor pool with a sundeck and bar, and a fitness room.
The announcement comes as the line unveils its 2027 programme with 15 itineraries through France, the Netherlands, Germany, Austria, Slovakia, Hungary, Croatia, Serbia, Bulgaria and Romania.
Several active excursions have been introduced, including guided cycling tours through southern France and the north of the Netherlands, e-bike routes along the Danube and guided hikes.
Discounts of up to £1,041 per person are available if bookings are made by 28 February 2027.
Founder and CEO Wolfgang Lueftner said: “With our annual newbuilds, our fleet remains one of the most modern, while our continually evolving excursion programme offers guests experiences found only with Amadeus.
“We provide tailor-made experiences for every taste, whether cultural enthusiasts, food and wine lovers or active travellers.”
