Air Canada will expand its services from Edinburgh this summer, offering a summer-only flight to Montrréal from 27 June 2025.
The new direct service will be Scotland’s only air connection to Canada’s second-largest city.
The seven-hour flight will be operated by a single-aisle Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft with 16 premium economy seats and 153 economy.
It will run until 7 September, in addition to Air Canada’s existing seasonal flights between Edinburgh and Toronto.
There will be three flights a week to Montréal during the peak summer period, departing Edinburgh on Tuesdays, Fridays and Sundays and returning overnight on Mondays, Thursdays and Saturdays.
Air Canada’s Senior Director Sales EMEAI Margaret Skinner said: “With just days to go until the start of the summer season, we are extremely excited to be announcing another new transatlantic route from the UK to our home hub, Montréal.
“Edinburgh has always been an important market for Air Canada, thanks to strong business, tourism, and cultural ties between Scotland and Canada, so we are proud to be expanding our presence in the market by adding a second route for 2025.”
