Travel agents can get a free trial of an AI search app that could help convert more enquiries into sales.
The app, called ASTRA (Assistant Travel Advisor) provides agents with their own personalised AI search chatbot, which is customised for them.
Developer Ian Champness said it is a ‘one-stop’ AI app combining the ‘information of a ChatGPT 4 search with the experience, advice and destination knowledge of a travel consultant’ as well as using tools such as videos, location maps and images.
Ian said: “It’s a customised sales-conversion tool – and launch-ready to help agents convert more sales – especially for independent and homeworking travel consultants.
“The link to their own AI Search chatbot can be incorporated into their website and in any sales emails or social media posts.”
Ian’s Go There Travel business, which launched a year ago, worked with 50 agencies to develop ASTRA.
Now Ian is looking for an additional 50 agencies to trial the app.
He said: “We have spent the last few months finessing from feedback from agents who tested the prototype. Comments encouraged us that agents are recognising the impact of AI and how it is rapidly changing consumers’ buying behaviour in searching and planning their next holiday. Agents are looking for a tech solution to meet this shift in holiday planning. Exactly what our AI search chatbot delivers.”
The first 50 agents who sign up can trial the app free for two months. If they want to continue, they can sign up for £99, which includes a year’s subscription and support set-up fee. For other agents, the price will be £99 to set up, plus a monthly subscription of £10.
