Sheffield agent Craig Goodrige has seen an increase in footfall and traffic to his website since appearing on the BBC Breakfast show to discuss an air rage incident.
The former cabin crew member was invited onto the TV programme, together with travel journalist Simon Calder, to discuss a fight that broke out on a Jet2 flight, which had gained media attention.
Craig was asked about the risks posed to passengers during such incidents and how the flight crew handle these situations. After Simon suggested the rise in air rage incidents could lead to a ban on pre-flight alcohol consumption – especially as they cause one flight diversion a month in Europe – Craig said he felt moderate drinking was part of the holiday experience.
And at the end, he managed a small plug for his business, mentioning that he was now working as a travel agent.

When asked how the interview came about, Craig said: “The producer said she had seen I was a regular contributor to BBC radio and had been on Sheffield and Gloucester [stations] that week and wanted to use me for a story.
“It was all a whirlwind. They booked me on a 7pm train that night over to Manchester and then I stayed in a hotel, ready for a 6.30am pick up to be on air at 7.30am.”
Speaking of the experience, Craig added: “The staff are so nice and make you feel right at home, from bringing me cups of tea to getting my makeup done, it was a good laugh and all really warm and friendly.
“The studio is a small glass box, with minimal staff as it’s all digital. The presenters Jon [Kay] and Sally [Nugent] were super nice. I was asked questions about the video of the fight and what effect it had on travel, all stuff I could answer, then I then had my proud moment, which was saying ‘I still work in travel as an agent’, which I had to squeeze in!”
Craig said he was back in his shop by 10.30am the same day, ready for a day’s work. “It was a proper whirlwind and I’m really touched by all the emails and messages I’ve had from people in the trade, customers and potential new ones who saw me on TV .
“I’ve already seen an uptick in views on my website and had people pop into the shop to say hello.
“It was a really lovely experience, and who knows what’s next, I’m a Celebrity or Big Brother!”
