Affordable Luxury Travel ‘brings back’ failed Luxtripper brand

Affordable Luxury Travel has changed its name to Luxtripper, a brand that collapsed 20 months ago.

In a statement posted on its website, Affordable Luxury said Luxtripper ‘once set the standard for luxury escapes’.

Affordable Luxury Travel bought the Luxtripper brand and assets from the administrators in October 2023.

Explaining why it had decided to adopt the Luxtripper name, the company said it was ‘breathing new life into an award-winning name that one inspired thousands of luxury travellers’.

“While Luxtripper is under new ownership and leadership, we’re bringing back everything people loved – and making it better.”

It said this will include a ‘sleek’ new website and tailormade holidays, honeymoons and wellness breaks.

“We know the old Luxtripper story ended too soon,” it added. “This is a new chapter, with solid backing, smart systems and stunning travel experiences. We’re still your go-to for unforgettable holidays. Just under a new name.”

There will be no changes for customers who have booked with Affordable Luxury Travel, the London-based company confirmed, adding that it was just ‘changing the banner above the door’.

Luxtripper collapsed with debts of more than £8m, including more than £2m owed to trade creditors and £5m owed to customers, and around £122,000 owed to its 60 staff.
