ABTA has created a dedicated section within its Member Zone to provide the trade with up-to-date information on the situation in the Middle East and help them to support customers currently in destination, as well as those due to travel.
It will provide general guidance on members’ responsibilities towards their customers in the region and customers with bookings, as well as a link to sign up to receive Operational Bulletins with the latest updates.
The hub will also include a detailed FAQ on legal responsibilities and additional information; links to relevant Guidance Notes covering all-but-essential-travel advice issued for countries, islands, or specific resorts/areas; and links to travel alerts issued by key airlines and travel providers
ABTA Head of Destinations Angie Hills said: “We’re supporting members across a number of fronts, including helping them understand what is happening in destination and their legal responsibilities to customers.
“The new section in the ABTA Member Zone is designed as a one-stop-shop to help members access the information to manage their bookings and operations and support their customers. We will be keeping this page under review as and when the situation evolves.”
