AAT Kings offers agents ATOL-protected packages for first time

Australia and New Zealand specialist AAT Kings is allowing agents to book flight-inclusive holiday packages for the first time.

The sales will be covered by its existing ATOL, which is for 500 passenges a quarter.

“This development has been a long time in the making, and we are excited to announce this to our trade partners today,” said Group CEO Ben Hall.

“We are anticipating strong demand for this new bookability and are confident that this move will open doors for more agent partners to start selling our Australia and New Zealand guided holiday packages.

“This is especially true for agents who may have given up their ATOL license during COVID.

“Not being able to book a flight inclusive package in one place has been a barrier to sale, and we encourage any agent who isn’t already signed up with us to reach out to our UK sales team.”

Agents will be able to create tailored packages, with a range of regional departure points, stopovers and flexible tickets combined with an AAT Kings’ guided holiday of five nights or more.

Ex-UK flight inclusive packages can be booked through the contact centre, on the phone or via email.

Opening up flight-inclusive bookings to agents follows the recent introduced of small group tours, with a maximum of 24 guests. “The introduction of new small group tours was monumental for AAT Kings,” said Ben.

“Being able to offer a different touring style means we can continue to diversify and make sure we’re offering something for everyone. Add that to the new option of also booking flights with us, and we are confident we will see a continued strong uptick in bookings from the UK market.”
