More than 70 agents have signed up to Graeme Brett’s Desks for Reps scheme after it was reintroduced two months ago.
Graeme, co-owner of Westoe Travel in South Shields, originally started a temporary Desks for Reps scheme during the pandemic, asking agents to offer a room or spare desk so Business Development Managers and other trade-facing reps on the road had somewhere to go to catch up with work and have a cup of tea before making the long drive back home.
Graeme relaunched the scheme at the end of January 2025, after finding there are now a lot of new reps on the road, and some are now covering wider areas.
Twenty agents responded to Graeme’s initial call earlier this year and the number has now grown to more than 70, including about 20 homeworkers.
