A fire has ripped through a car park used by Gatwick airport passengers, damaging 140 vehicles.
The blaze at Caldyne Business Park in Crawley broke out at just after 9pm on Saturday.
Emergency services remain on the scene, with Sussex Police advising the public to avoid the area.
Power was shut off to the immediate area as crews tackled the fire, affecting a number of businesses and homes, while nearby roads were closed as a precaution.
West Sussex Fire and Rescue Service said 140 cars were damaged and advised any affected customers to contact their operator directly.
A 67-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of arson. He has since been bailed, pending further enquiries.
A Gatwick Airport spokesperson said: “We are aware of a fire at an unaffiliated third-party car parking site, which occurred on Saturday evening, and understand how concerning and distressing this will be for any passengers whose vehicles may have been affected.
“We are advising any passengers who are concerned that their vehicle might have been affected to call the police on 101.
“The parking company is not endorsed or operated by London Gatwick.”
