Manchester Airport hosted more than 100 travel trade partners and 30 airlines at its inaugural Airside Access event held at the Co-op Live in Manchester, the UK’s largest indoor arena.
The evening event was an opportunity for Manchester Airport to present to the trade exclusive updates, while encouraging all attendees to network.
In addition to entertainment and a backstage tour of the iconic arena, including a sneak peek inside Harry Styles’ toilet, more than 20 pairs of flight tickets were up for grabs with winners jetting off to destinations including Barcelona and Toronto.
Travel Trade Manager for Manchester Airport Emily Lockwood said: “It’s incredibly valuable for us, as an airport, to see all our key partners under one roof. Thank you [to all those who attended] for celebrating MAN with us and for being part of our travel trade community. We’re already looking forward to an even bigger and better event next year.”
Sharon Barlow from Wayte Travel Management said: “The whole event was so well organised, at a great venue and with lots of information from the airline suppliers. The tour was amazing and the food was excellent. I can’t remember an event that we have enjoyed so much and I managed to win a prize! Please sign us up for your next one!”
One of Manchester Airport’s key airline partners said: “For Eurowings it was very beneficial to take part. I had many, many great conversations with various agents. Corporate, Leisure, Groups, VFR – a great mix. No doubt will we see extra business as a result of attending this event. Thank you for the opportunity.”
Chris Mettam of DGI added: “It was genuinely a standout event and huge credit to you for pulling it all together. I can’t remember a similar event recently that I’ve enjoyed so much and everyone seemed to be of the same opinion.”
