Swan Hellenic puts Asia-Pacific cultural cruises on sale

Swan Hellenic will offer a series of cultural expedition cruises in Asia-Pacific on Minerva next year.

Five of the cruises will take place in April and May 2026 and two will take place in September. Cruises can be combined to create longer itineraries.

Minerva is returning to the fleet in November, after Swan Hellenic acquired it from leasing company STLC Europe Nine Leasing last month. The ship will sail a season in Antarctica before moving to the Asia-Pacific region.

Minerva’s first cruise in the region will be a 13-night sailing on 5 April 2026 from Honiara in the Solomon Islands to Jayapura, the capital of Indonesia’s Papua province.

There’s also a 10-night Jayapura to Sorong cruise; an 11-night Sorong to Manila cruise; an 11-night Manila to Hiroshima itinerary and a 10-night cruise from Hiroshima to Otaru, the capital of Japan’s Hokkaido Island.

Due to the remote destinations featured, the first three cruises are part of Swan Hellenic’s ‘Cruise Plus’ offering, which includes hotel stays, charter flights and transfers to reach the departure ports.

The individual itineraries can be combined to make a 55-day cruise.

The two September cruises, from Otaru to Hiroshima, and Hiroshima to Itozaki, are cruise-only packages.

The cruises are now available to book with prices from £7,000 per person for a 10-night cruise from Jayapura to Sorong.
