Star Clippers will feature 27 new ports in its summer 2027 Mediterranean programme, which is the highest number of new additions in the line’s history.
The new ports are in seven countries, and include Albania’s Sarande, which is a new country for the tall ship line.
Other new ports include Astypalea, Pigadia, Gavrio, Chania, Skyros and Parga in Greece; Çeşme, Datça, Kaş, Kekova and Fethiye in Turkey; Roses, Barcelona and Peniscola in Spain; Menton in France; Trogir and Korčula in Croatia.
Some destinations are returning after a multi-year hiatus, such as Symi and Kastellorizo in Greece, which the line says reflects the ‘desire for smaller, more unique ports of call’.
The summer 2027 sailing programme runs from April to November on its three ships, Royal Clipper, Star Clipper and Star Flyer.
There are several new itineraries for summer 2027, including the ‘Authentic Adriatic’ on Royal Clipper and the ‘Eternal Cyclades’ on Star Flyer.
Owner Eric Krafft said: “With the wind as our driving force, we can reach destinations that large cruise ships simply cannot access. Twenty-four of the new ports in 2027 are completely new to us, demonstrating the remarkable possibilities our fleet offers.”
