Riviera Travel is reporting strong early booking demand for its MS George Eliot solo-exclusive river cruise programme, with 2027 departures already selling quickly following launch last year.
The vessel, set to become the world’s first fully solo-exclusive river cruise ship from mid-2027, is attracting strong interest with one of the first June 2027 sailings already sold out.
Riviera says demand is tightening availability on peak dates and is encouraging early bookings through the trade.
The ship will operate across the Rhine, Moselle and Danube throughout the 2027 season. It has been configured for solo travellers, with all guests receiving a double cabin for sole occupancy and no single supplement.
Onboard, the product includes curated excursions with Tour Managers, reduced capacity for increased space, and a social onboard environment for solo travellers.
Riviera reports 34% year-on-year growth in solo bookings, 51% growth in solo bookings via trade partners, and 72% of 2027 solo capacity already sold through the trade.
The MS George Eliot solo programme forms part of Riviera’s wider strategy to expand its presence in the solo travel market and drive trade sales ahead of the 2027 season.
Director of Trade, Partnerships & Loyalty UK & Ireland Vicky Billing said demand has been strong since launch, with positive feedback from agents.
She added: “With peak departures already selling quickly and a full season of sailings available, including shoulder season dates, this gives our agent partners a really strong opportunity to drive early bookings and offer something that genuinely stands out in the market.”
